James William Day
Shortly after graduating from Central Connecticut State, I made the move to Portland Maine after spending 24 years living in the northwest hills of Connecticut. I express myself through wood engraving, letterpress, woodcut, and photography, being largely inspired by rural New England life, a discontent with modernity, and the need to create a reciprocating relationship with the natural world. After exploring careers in sustainable agriculture, cartography, carpentry, and surveying, I have landed on the arts.
