James William Day

Shortly after graduating from Central Connecticut State, I made the move to Portland Maine after spending 24 years living in the northwest hills of Connecticut. I express myself through woodcut, wood engraving, and photography, being largely inspired by rural New England life, a discontent with modernity, and creating a reciprocating relationship with the natural world. After exploring careers in sustainable agriculture, cartography, and surveying, I have landed on carpentry and the arts.
